Few devices appear at MWC 2026 and quickly attract attention because they allow you to start a fire, but Oukitel did just that with the WP63, an ultra rugged smartphone for those who spend days out in the wilderness with no power outlet or compassion from the weather.
At the core of it all is a large 20,000 mAh battery, which dominates the design and makes the entire device 27 mm thick. Realistically, you should be able to go for days without needing to find a charger, and this phone also functions as a power bank, which is a pleasant plus. A built-in USB-C cable extends from the body to deliver 18-watt reverse charging to other gear—phones, earbuds, even small laptops in a pinch. Add 33-watt wired charging for the WP63 itself, and downtime shrinks.

Let’s not forget about the WP63’s tough build, which effectively repels high-pressure water and dust thanks to an IP69 certification, as well as all of the other MIL-STD-810H testing that ensures the phone can endure drops, shocks, and severe temperatures. Oh, and all of this is covered in thick plastic and reinforced with seriously big bumpers and reinforced edges, making purchasing one of those extra cases a complete waste of money. It can even withstand being dropped from 100 feet above in the demos they have put up, but you wouldn’t want to try that at home.
The screen is 6.7 inches in size and has a refresh rate of 120 Hz, allowing for seamless scrolling of maps, messages, and other content. The resolution is a little more practical, at 1604 x 720 pixels, and I’m pleased to see that it still has enough of clarity outside, even though it doesn’t drain the battery completely. The Unisoc T8200 handles day-to-day work with ease, thanks in part to Android 16. Memory-wise, it has 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, which should be sufficient for most of your demands, including most programs, photo / video editing, and offline files.
The camera setup is fairly basic, with a 64-megapixel rear sensor that is adequate for photographing trails or any damage that may have occurred, but it is not something you’d want to bring to a nice wedding. On a somewhat unrelated side, the giant LED camp light on the back is actually rather brilliant, helping to brighten the area, and the loud speaker also functions as an alert or signaling tool in emergency situations.

Oukitel is asking $399 for this phone, which is about reasonable; this is not a phone you want to be carrying around the city. This is a phone designed to be a tool, something you can rely on in an emergency yet won’t break the budget.
